Be. Do. You In 2022: 6 Week Wellness Series
Many people start out the New Year with resolutions to get healthy, lose weight and get more done! You can’t turn on the TV or open Facebook without seeing ads for gym memberships, diet programs and time management systems. We start out with such good intentions and by mid-January we feel more stressed and discouraged when we can’t seem to do it.
New Year’s resolutions are tuff in a normal year. The past 22 months have not been normal! We are collectively exhausted. In this especially difficult time, we don't need to beat ourselves up, create more shame, disappointment and stress that makes it even harder to cope. It is time for each of us to be a bit gentler with ourselves and give ourselves the same kind of grace that we might give to others. Starting in February, typically associated with the month of love, let’s recalibrate to focus on first nurturing the “be-ing” in human-being. Second, focus on the “do-ing” as we integrate small steps that are doable to re-energize.
Join us for a limited virtual 6-week self-exploration series using guided intentional stretching and integrating tips to manage your energy in service of creating harmony in the body, mind, and environment. Enjoy. Relax. Re-energize.
When: Wednesdays 2/16-3/23, 11:15am/1:15pm MST/EST
Where: Zoom link will be provided
Cost: $59 for the series.
Registration required.
Each week will have a different focus:
1. Meet yourself where you are at: is about giving yourself grace and acknowledging the small wins every day during this time (positive psychology.) Touch on how the “new year- new you mentality isn’t always helpful, and that learning to enjoy the versions of ourselves that we are today is healthier in the long run… avoid shame/ guilt/ “shoulda coulda woulda”
2. Be a beginner: try something new without the expectations of perfection! Having a “childlike” or novice perspective while exploring new things. (Positive psychology.)
3. Energy mapping: Tired of time management? Learn about four key areas to find the energy you need.
4. Be curious- circling back to week 2 a bit with emphasis on personal growth through curiosity.
5. Celebrate the small things: circling back to week 1, but with a new found perspective/ skill set/ mind shift. Tao perspective on finding joy in grounding exercises/ breath/ a warm cup of tea.
6. Enjoy the journey: life is a trip, sometimes in a flow state, sometimes stuck in some mud, and our embracing of all of it because it is how we flourish.
